I must say that one of the aspects of the book that got my attention was when Ernie had a romantic engagement with a prime suspect. Nice review!

The plot sounds a little familiar: a 13-year-old boy found in a room with his hacked-up parents. But I'm curious to find out if he did do it. The 'defending his client from the grave' comment has me intrigued and for that alone I'm adding this to my list.

The mob crime setting of this isn’t particularly to my taste, but I’m sure it will be to many others!

The way you described Ernie's mother makes her sound very intriguing and am curious what made her that way. I liked your summary of the book and was surprised that Ernie developed feeling for the prime suspect. Too bad about all the errors on the book but sounds like a fast-paced thrilling story.

Gravnick by Bob Herpe is one of the most mind-blowing books I have read so far. I literally connected with the protagonist Ernie despite his shortcomings of falling for the prime suspect.

The review depicts the plot enticingly. This novel might be very complex and have enough strings attached to stage a puppet show. I hope it is fast-paced and humour-filled. Curious to know who is the culprit. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The descriptions are credible and the setting of a police chief in relation to an accused who is facing death penalty, was it psychological push-pull that what comes out after all makes for fascinating reading. Congrats on #BOTD

It seems Ernie Gravnick, for sure, has to race against time if he is to save himself and solve the mysterious case. The fact that he falls in love with a person who could be the primary suspect is mesmerizing. The book is already on my shelf, and I look forward to enjoying the book. Many thanks for the review.

Thank you for your great review. While this isn't my favorite genre, I do enjoy it occasionally. I found myself sampling several chapters and finding it a fast read that was hard to put down. I am curious to find out who done it and who all are suspects. I do hope it wasn't the son. What an interesting backstory too. I agree the character development was great. I have added it to my list of books to read.

A must read novel. I was curious enough to read this when I read the synopsis of this book, and I was right.

Such compelling crime thriller book especially the part where the crime investigator is fall in love with the prime suspect! Given the genre, this book is peppered with actions particularly the part where the life of the investigator is nearly taken away. Make sure allocate time wisely before reading this page turner book.
