Personally, I don't know anything about poetry, but I think this book is worth it. Especially for the topic, which brings us back to our present times

What a wonderful and expressive review. The book carries many meanings and emotions mixed with the painful events. The poems represent situations during the war in Syria. However, people tried to continue living. These are truly expressive poems loaded with feelings. Congrats on BOTD

Poetry speaks what mouths can't. It opens up on the burdens of the heart and questions the immorality in society. That's why I love it and I hope this book will be great too. Congrats!

I love how this book touches our emotions. In the sample, I couldn't read more, but your review gave me a general idea of what's there. I'm already sad just imagining the situation and how these poems tell the story.
I value the learning process through feedback. If you have a moment, I'd be grateful for any thoughts on my work to help me enhance my skills. :tiphat:

The book shows the events in Syria from a different perspective and seems really heartwarming. But war fiction is just not my cup of tea. I'm sure the book will find its reader. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Your description of the poems paints a vivid picture of the deeply human experiences amidst the backdrop of war and turmoil. Your insights not only celebrate the poet’s work but also raise awareness about the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Syria.

The Amazon sample and the well written, review from Tara D Morgan gave me an insight into the lives of people living in war zones in this masterful piece from Seif-Eldeine. The beautifully written poetry with vivid imagery, portrays the lives of ordinary people living in Syria and the impact that war has on their daily lives. It is impossible for us to imagine the horror which they are forced to endure and I commend the author for creating awareness through his wonderful poetry. Congratulations on #BOTD.

Your vivid descriptions of Seif-Eldeine's portrayal of life during the war truly drew me in. I could almost feel the intensity of the imagery you described, especially the scenes of children playing on rubble and the moments of personal struggle.

Your mention of the glossary at the back of the book is a great point; it's wonderful when authors provide those resources for a richer understanding. Your review has sparked my interest in the book, and I'm eager to dive into these powerful poems that offer a different perspective on the Syrian conflict.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

We have all seen the Syrian Civil War reported on news stories. We are appalled at what is happening. Gasping with disbelief at the war-torn scenery and saddened by refugees escaping from their homes. However, this collection of poems gives the other side of these stories. People's lives continue. They have to work, marry, care for their families, and try and keep themselves safe and sane.
- There's always the other side, two sides to every story and that's what grabbed my interest here. A wonderful review. Thank you.

I'm drawn to the vivid portrayal of life amid the Syrian Civil War in the poetry collection, Voices From a Forgotten Letter: Poems on the Syrian Civil War, and I can't wait to delve into the intense imagery author Seif-Eldeine weaves.

Great review! War is horrific no matter where or when it happens. Children will make due and play in the rubble or dirt, whichever they find.

It is important to have someone who shows us what happens on the other side of the biased narratives that are displayed on the news outlets. Someone who is living the reality.

These poems serve as a mirror that allows us to comprehend what it must be like to continue life under these dire circumstances. I commend the author for sharing these experiences with us.

An emotional and riveting book bound to make one cry! This book shows the other side of the Syrian war. The people grapple with reality and look forward to the future. Their lives must go on. A refugee bride, far away from home, mourns her father's arrest, which is heartbreaking. Several such intense moments flow through the poetry. Thanks for sharing it with us through your review.

It is so sad that there's still an ongoing war in todays world. I hope every person receives god's grace and the sides come to a contract.
