Indeed the biography of Sarah is one to be emulated, her resilience , focus and determination to succeed in what she loves to do. Despite her deformity, past bullying experience and all, she still loves to serve people through the community service. Her family giving her support all the way shows how much family means in shaping any individual. To every one who aspires great things, Ride on Dame!

It's always a good day when an inspirational book about overcoming extreme onstavles becomes BOTD. Sarah's story is filled with lots of despairing moments that would break any other persons soul. The good thing is Sarah found the courage and stayed persistent all the way to the Paralympics. I cannot wait to read this book.

Holy cow, I just finished 'Ride On!' and I'm still trying to process the awe-inspiring greatness that is Sarah Storey! This woman's story is like a freight train of motivation - it'll run you over and leave you breathless.

I mean, I thought I was a tough cookie, but Sarah's got more grit in her pinky finger than I have in my entire body. And yet, she's not just about being tough - she's got heart, she's got humour, and she's got a whole lot of humanity.

The writing's great, don't get me wrong, but it's Sarah's voice that shines through on every page. You can tell she's been through hell and back, but she's still standing, still pedalling, and still pushing boundaries.

I'm not ashamed to admit I got a little teary-eyed in places (okay, fine, I sobbed like a baby). But I also fist-pumped, cheered, and maybe even shouted a few choice phrases at the top of my lungs (sorry, neighbours!).

If you need a kick in the pants, a reminder that you're capable of more than you think, or just a good old-fashioned dose of inspiration, then 'Ride On!' is the book for you. Trust me, you won't regret it!

I completely agree with this review! I was thoroughly inspired by Dame Sarah Storey's remarkable story, and the author's meticulous research and writing brought her journey to life. The book's attention to detail, from her childhood to her Paralympic triumphs, is impressive. Sarah's resilience and determination are a testament to the power of a positive mindset, and her contributions to society are truly admirable. A well-deserved 5-star rating.

Thank you for the inspired and inspiring review of the biography, "Ride on! Dame Sarah Storey's Extraordinary Journey of Triumph" by S.A. Sterling. This biography is a page turner with something happening to move the narrative along on every page. The story is one of resilience and triumph of a Paralympian who is also a Manchester Community leader. Dame Sarah is an inspiration to her family and her community but to every one of the readers of her story also.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

Olympic/Paralympic craze! I can't imagine my life without swimming, so this is a particularly inspiring story for me. I'm glad it discusses activism because we can't have more stories like Sarah's if we don't stop the deep-rooted ableism in the system. Thank you for your review.

Your review is awesome, Maduabuchi! I sampled this book, and like you, I felt in awe of Dame Sarah, a distinguished British Paralympian who did not settle for less regardless of her physical challenges. Your review shed more light on what to expect from this book, and it does feel like an all-star work.

Sarah Storey's life is inspiring and worthy of admiration. In addition to her experiences battling bullying, illness, and injuries, she managed to excel in the fields of swimming and cycling and become a social activist contributing to society.

I look forward to picking this up! I am trying to branch out into reading more non-fiction and biographies and with the Para-olympics now underway in Paris this seems like the perfect time to pick this one up. From this review, this seems like it will be more than another surface level biography, and will delve into the struggles and challenges Sarah faced on the path to her dreams and the societal issues facing people with disabilities in sports and in the world generally even today.
