I haven't read many of Rice's books, but have you read "Memnoch the Devil"? She isn't really my genre, but that book was interesting- like "Angels & Demons"Woodland Nymph wrote:I'm now finishing up Blood and Gold by Anne Rice; after I'm done, I'll have read every one of the VCs. I tried reading this book years ago, grew bored with it, and placed it aside. I'm glad I gave it a second chance because I'm in love with it now.

I read Memnoch the Devil several years ago, but many details are still fresh in my mind, as though it were yesterday. You're right, it was very interesting; she took a completely different route with that particular book. That's when Lestat had his religious epiphany, though unfortunately his character went slightly down hill from that moment on.LauraH wrote:I haven't read many of Rice's books, but have you read "Memnoch the Devil"? Ah, see, I was wondering if I should bother reading the rest of Lestat's series. I don't usually enjoy her books, or that genre- but was hoping that I would still like the others. I really like Lestat. I think he's a great character.Woodland Nymph wrote:I read Memnoch the Devil several years ago, but many details are still fresh in my mind, as though it were yesterday. L-O-V-E that book!SenoraThrash wrote:I'm currently reading Tithe by Holly Black it's technically a teen read but it's such a great twist on faeries I couldn't resist.

I've read it so many times that I know almost the whole thing by heart. I love how it's edgy, yet sophisticated at the same time. I have never read any book like it in my life. Be sure to read the sequel, Ironside, once you finished up Tithe.
