We all tell ourselves things about ourselves and whether these statements are positive or negative, they become part of what we believe and come to be. Congratulations on BOTD!

This looks like a very interesting book, unfortunately due to some of the content I will not be reading it.

Definitely not my cup of tea, not only because the non-fiction and especially the subjects raised by this book's content are not in the sphere of my interest, but mostly because I find them quite disturbing and grave to be recreational reading. Sorry, I prefer to skip, but congrats with BOTD, anyway!

This is a very useful book. It has practical life practices one can relate to. I like that the author used personal experiences as lessons to carry readers along in this book. The author explains why we feel anxiety and what can be done about it using the 'body memory process.' This is new for me, and I look forward to seeing how effective it is. Thanks for the insightful review and congratulations to the author on BOTD.

This book resonates with me on so many levels. I'm looking forward to learning the skills of identifying those childhood vows and stored trauma and to eventually living a more conscious life.

Thanks to the author for the book and thanks to the reviewer for such a great review.

I enjoyed sampling this book. It is a well edited self-help guide that tells us how to stop being stuck with 'vows' we made to ourselves and take control of our lives.

I wonder what my vow could be? I can relate to some of the things I've read in this book. For example I find that a lot of the time I question my abilities and this prevents me from moving forward.

However I do wonder how the author knew the doctors were looking at her to see whether she was dead. I also wonder whether the concepts taught in this book has a connection to Buddhism.

After reading the Introduction and first chapter, this book is not for me. The story of Jenny doesn’t sound legitimate. However, if the Body Memory Process sounds interesting for people looking to release their trauma, I would encourage them to form their own opinions of the book.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

It would be nice to understand how our bodies store memories and how they potentially affect our lives.
