Learning from our mistakes is a great achievement. Stoker's journey from being broken to true happiness is inspirational. This makes me want to read what he learns along the way. Good review

The funny thing is that although they both pretend to love each other the cracks begin to appear quickly The relationship goes from bad to worse as Charlie discovers who Margret really is and it is as if everything in his life was falling apart.

It looks like there are a lot of lessons to learn from this book. Indeed, love is the greatest quest of man. Nothing can take its place in a man's heart, hence the void where there's no love .

While normally I am quite fond of historical fiction, I am used to favoring books that are focused on events or people that leave a mark on history. Therefore, this book about some random person's life going downhill despite his best efforts wasn't able to catch my attention and I prefer to pass. Apologies and sincere congratulations on BOTD!

Your review of "The Stoker Trilogy, Book II: The Tally Man" by Tod Benjamin is both insightful and engaging. You've done an excellent job of capturing the essence of Charlie Stoker's character and the themes that Benjamin explores in this novel. The idea of a flawed perfectionist is a compelling one, and you've highlighted how Benjamin uses this concept to illustrate the complexities of human nature and the pursuit of success.

Your observation about the importance of love and mentorship in the story is also noteworthy. The relationship between Charlie and Stephen Collick serves as a powerful reminder of the value of investing in people and the impact it can have on personal and professional growth. Additionally, the exploration of unrequited love and the consequences of shutting oneself off from love adds depth to the narrative and provides valuable lessons for readers.

Your critique of the book cover is fair and constructive, as a well-designed cover can significantly impact a reader's first impression. However, the content of the book has more than made up for any shortcomings in the cover design. Your rating of 5 out of 5 stars is a testament to the quality of Benjamin's writing and the story's ability to resonate with readers.

Overall, your review is thoughtful, and well-written, and provides a comprehensive overview of the novel's strengths and themes. Your recommendation for those looking to balance business and relationships is spot-on, making this book a must-read for anyone seeking guidance in these areas.

I think it is hard for most people to balance their professional life and their love life. It seems their is quite a bit of lessons to learn in this book. Furthermore, I'm curious to see how and if Charlie manages to do this. Congrats on BOTD.

I'm thrilled that you connected with the themes and characters on such a profound level. It's exactly the kind of reaction I hoped the book would inspire. Your comments about Charlie as a 'flawed perfectionist' and the exploration of love and mentorship truly resonated with me.

From the beginning, deceit has formed the foundation of Charlie Horace and Margret's relationship. Margret's change wasn't a surprise.

From reading the OBC official review, it seems that Charlie garnered some wealth and that's when his life turned upside down. Some people cannot handle the things that come to them when they move up the financial ladder. I got to read this novel to find out how all this unfolds for Charlie.

"The Tally Man" by Tod Benjamin, a book that features a sucessful business man and his struggles in life. It will be great to see how the story unfold to the end. To see how the devout catholic girl changed with time.

I like this review because it came off genuine. I normally am interested in books as such but at this time in my life I am too emotional about my issues in my own reality. This review almost made me feel as if the character has been a close friend for a long time, never had that happen before!

The review insightfully captures the essence of Charlie’s journey in “The Tally Man.” It highlights the complexities of his character and the profound themes of perfectionism, societal expectations, and the search for fulfillment. The exploration of human weaknesses adds depth to the narrative, making it a compelling read. Benjamin effectively communicates that wealth and achievement do not equate to inner peace, prompting readers to reflect on their own lives and values.
