This book teaches a valuable lesson on social connections and how despite having all the money in the world. Without any meaningful social connections life becomes miserable.

Learning from our mistakes is a great achievement. Stoker's journey from being broken to true happiness is inspirational. This makes me want to read what he learns along the way. Good review

The funny thing is that although they both pretend to love each other the cracks begin to appear quickly The relationship goes from bad to worse as Charlie discovers who Margret really is and it is as if everything in his life was falling apart.

It looks like there are a lot of lessons to learn from this book. Indeed, love is the greatest quest of man. Nothing can take its place in a man's heart, hence the void where there's no love .

While normally I am quite fond of historical fiction, I am used to favoring books that are focused on events or people that leave a mark on history. Therefore, this book about some random person's life going downhill despite his best efforts wasn't able to catch my attention and I prefer to pass. Apologies and sincere congratulations on BOTD!

I think it is hard for most people to balance their professional life and their love life. It seems their is quite a bit of lessons to learn in this book. Furthermore, I'm curious to see how and if Charlie manages to do this. Congrats on BOTD.

From reading the OBC official review, it seems that Charlie garnered some wealth and that's when his life turned upside down. Some people cannot handle the things that come to them when they move up the financial ladder. I got to read this novel to find out how all this unfolds for Charlie.

I like this review because it came off genuine. I normally am interested in books as such but at this time in my life I am too emotional about my issues in my own reality. This review almost made me feel as if the character has been a close friend for a long time, never had that happen before!
