Shortcuts usually don't lead to results that are long lasting or overall desirable. Finances are important, so it's good to know what the solid, time-tested methods are for success with being responsible and profitable.

I like that the book isn't stating get rich quick opportunities. With many people suffering financially, books that convey false hope and impossible methods to end financial woes are futile. Self-discipline, motivation, and determination are key to all aspects of life, and are the tools to reach personal goals.

I am excited for this book. From the beginning, it made clear about what to expect from this. I am tired of all these get rich quick schemes. I hope this book focuses on long-term strategies.

I like the fact that it gives you a routine to follow for one to see results. Also, the author emphasized that it's not a concept that turns one into a millionaire over night, but a process, which makes the book more practical.

Self-discipline is one thing that I seem to lack to an extent. Knowing that this book will help me work on that aspect makes me already excited for its release. Can't wait to read it!

I think we all understand the principles of compound interest, perhaps less so when talking about more sophisticated financial instruments. I've wondered whether this book is very USA focused; some things work differently in other counties. Self-discipline is key to success in almost anything. Even if one wins the lotto, without self-discipline the money won't last - as your financial position changes, so will your desires.

This blurb was a refreshing piece of honesty. Most people are selling a gimmick to get rich quick, but this clearly means that the point of this book is to help you understand financial responsibility and make the proper choices over time. I'm hoping that this will help me establish my path, even if I'm a bit late to the game.

I agree that this is a helpful metaphor and gives an idea of what to expect from the book. I think having a good system in place that you can use to build off of is better than any quick fix. I'm always skeptical when someone promises instant results, especially when it comes to things like finances.

Exactly! Get rich quick plans are useless and only the people who can sell them actually get rich! :D

I like this metaphor for this book. It is simple and tells the reader that success will take time.

I totally agree with most of you here. I have had difficulties with self-discipline, especially when dieting, and the fact that this book also focuses on that is also admirable. At least it isn't like most books that tend to promise the best things but they disappoint. Hopefully this will not be like them.

But I believe that if you can get people to buy something, and only you get rich, then you can actually offer some advice on how you were successful doing it. I know it is mostly a scam, but you can turn it into a useful thing for both the buyer and the seller.

I like the concept. I think financial planning is all about thinking about how you can maintain the lifestyle in the long term, not just cutting corners for a short amount of time and then magically going back to your old spending habits and expecting things to be different.
