PTSD is an over prescribed and under-treated mental injury. I believe some doctors use the term PTSD to arrive at a simple diagnosis. On the other hand, those that are truly suffering from PTSD are left, mostly on their own to figure out how to survive their symptoms. PTSD needs more study.

this Book is a bold and identify how PTSD diagnosed, and treated in modern mental health practice. Drawing from the author experiences as both a clinician and someone deeply familiar with the system.
A major strength of the book is its analysis , It explores how PTSD embraced by veterans groups and therapists have been.
What sets Andersen's work apart is her willingness to question widely accepted norms in psychiatry and psychology. Her writing is sharp, uncompromising, Her thesis urges readers to reconsider how we define mental illness, resilience, and recovery.

The starting of the review was very engaging which fired my neurons in a right way and creating a desire to know more about this topic. According to me the review felt like it was Belaboring the point other than that everything seems fine. The language used was easy to understand and friendly. As a final year medical student I would definitely give this book a read because psychological problems differ from person to person and everyone has different ways of coping. I'm eager to learn this authors point of view on a topic which not everyone talks about and expand my knowledge

Post-traumatic stress disorder can be quite distressing in itself to resolve since individual cases are peculiar and more dependent on observations and prognosis. "The Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Fallacy" by H. Nattanya Andersen shares the author's personal journey on overcaming the hurdles of PTSD.

Andersen's deep dive into PTSD treatment and unconventional views offer another side to the pop-psy space. I am sure the discussion on antidepressants would encourage readers' reflection. The simplicity also makes for a smooth read.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

Congrats on BOTD.
The book "The Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Fallacy" by H. Nattanya Andersen is beneficial for those who have PTSD or who wish to support anybody who has it. It takes real power to survive near accidents and then deal with PTSD. This book questions the way the system handles psychological issues in addition to sharing an intimate tale.

It is pretty alarming, based on this informative book, that many practitioners who treat PTSD might not know precisely what they are doing, and the individual being treated could become worse. The author's journey to overcome PTSD after a traumatic experience is a valuable and credible source of information. This book could prove invaluable for those suffering from or helping people with PTSD. I appreciate your insightful review.

Thank you for your review. I read the first chapter. The victims of PTSD indeed have to decide whether they will live or die. The author takes you into the depths of PTSD. She talks about bibliotherapy and how the victim is alone in the journey—an excellent book for victims and others who would like to understand PTSD.

Being someone who suffers from PTSD I would love to see more into the mind of the author they seem to have a good idea of what PTSD is and I even would go as far as saying that they have suffered from PTSD themselves but this book has great insight and a first person point of view. I find it full of information and facts as well as fun and excitement.
