Although I'm not often a fan of the YA genre, the cast of orphans along with the ever-present themes of racism, friendship, love, family issues, and the struggle to find themselves makes it a very appealing read.

Reading this review helped me to appreciate what this book is about, since I initially thought that it was all about dreams and (maybe) the interpretation of them.

However “The Dream Keepers” holds the promise of a story about children’s lives as they grow up, with dreams being an integral part. This interests me as a mom of teenaged children (who often share their dreams.)

I’m looking forward to reading Linda Keen’s book.

This books sounds like it will be easily enjoyed by adults, even if it is technically a YA book. I’ve read many poorly edited or written books lately this one sounds like a breath of fresh air.

I honestly feel for this children. This relates to backgrounds of children I know where the children are orphaned and hop from grandparent to other guardians for food and shelter. It's usually a hard task to adapt. This novel reflects on this hardships and has a silver lining in the end.
A good read!
