The story of two orphan siblings passing through the ups and downs of life is amazing. I like the plot very much. The reviewer has done a great job.

What wonderful themes today's #BOTD has...family, friendship, struggle, overcoming hardships, growth. It sounds like an emotional and inspiring read that middle school aged kids through adults will throughly enjoy. Thank you so much for your helpful review! :-)

I'm glad you enjoyed this one. It sounds like a nice coming of age story with very well developed characters. Thanks for the informative review. I think I'll have to look at this one as I do enjoy a good young adult novel.

Very comprehensive review. Sparks my interest. I like the way the review tantalizes with little excerpts which leaves one wanting to delve deeper. I definitely want to read The Dream Keepers by Linda Keen

Although I'm not often a fan of the YA genre, the cast of orphans along with the ever-present themes of racism, friendship, love, family issues, and the struggle to find themselves makes it a very appealing read.

Reading this review helped me to appreciate what this book is about, since I initially thought that it was all about dreams and (maybe) the interpretation of them.

However “The Dream Keepers” holds the promise of a story about children’s lives as they grow up, with dreams being an integral part. This interests me as a mom of teenaged children (who often share their dreams.)

I’m looking forward to reading Linda Keen’s book.

This books sounds like it will be easily enjoyed by adults, even if it is technically a YA book. I’ve read many poorly edited or written books lately this one sounds like a breath of fresh air.

I honestly feel for this children. This relates to backgrounds of children I know where the children are orphaned and hop from grandparent to other guardians for food and shelter. It's usually a hard task to adapt. This novel reflects on this hardships and has a silver lining in the end.
A good read!

I love books that involve significant character development, especially of young people in difficult circumstances. That's inspiring for young adults. With her dreams and imagination, Star sounds like a good heroine. It's great that this book is so well-written also.

The review was clearly To-the-point but still successful in conveying the messeges and theme contained in the book. Looks like a story with warm and hearty chracters! Good read!

Thanks for the great review. I love reading books on characters developing from youth into adulthood. I wonder the kind of dreams Star has that shapes her personality. And what a unique name!

From your review, it sounds like the girl have a great imagination that she didn't outgrow as she grew up. This does sound like a good book to read for everyone.

Star and Thatcher seem to be well-developed characters. I think I might add this book to my reading list. Great job on the review!
