I'm a bit hit and miss with historical fiction (and eclectic as I love Alison Weir, Phillipa Gregory and Diana Gabaldon) so I tend to rely on recommendations when branching out to new authors and this one definitely seems worth it. I'll add it to my 'Want to Read' immediately!

Wow. High praise indeed! This sounds like it would be a really cool story to read but I will probably have to wait for the second in series so I can read all the way through without that dreaded "cliffhanger" hangover!!! LOLThe Crimson Heirlooms is one of the best-written historical novels I've ever read.

I have enjoyed reading this review and it is an opportunity to learn one or two things about ancient France.
Thanks for the review.
